Microsoft Office 365 release date announced for 28th June

John Roskill, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President of Worldwide Partner Group announced through a tweet yesterday the public release date of Office 365. In the tweet he says:

June 28th is the date for General Availability of Office 365! > 100,000 real customers on beta…Partners, are you ready???

Some might say that Office 365 is Microsoft’s answer to Google Apps, but it is so much more. Microsoft Office is set to revolutionize productivity in small to medium businesses who use the service. It gives them access to Microsoft’s best and most mature productivity tools like Exchange Online, Microsoft Office, SharePoint Online and Lync Online without the complexity and costs of maintaining these systems.
